Kingman Wong
Principal
Kingman Wong served for over twenty-four years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During those years, he developed an unparalleled level of expertise in a number of areas, including Asian organized crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and money laundering. More specifically, he supervised the most significant Asian organized crime and drug case in FBI history; he oversaw the FBI's national program for Asian and African Organized Crime; he was assigned to the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong as the FBI Attaché for four years where he worked closely with the Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau authorities on international organized crime, counterterrorism, money laundering and drug trafficking matters; and he was the FBI Attaché in Canada where he worked with Canadian authorities and oversaw three FBI offices in Canada. As the Chief of the International Operations Section at FBI HQ, he was responsible for the operations of 75 FBI offices and sub-offices located throughout the world. To counter emerging asymmetric cyber threats, Mr. Wong created the FBI's first unified criminal and national security cyber branch when he served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Special Operations⁄Cyber Division of the FBI's New York Field Office.
Upon his retirement from the FBI, he took the position as the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer overseeing the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption compliance program for the largest U.S. integrated resort casino company in Macau and Hong Kong, as well as Singapore, a position he held for more than four years. He has two Master's degrees, a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration⁄Homeland Security, certified as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and reads and speaks Chinese fluently. Mr. Wong is an adjunct professor at a Washington, DC area university and has been with Madison since early 2020 where he provides his expertise to government clients of Madison.
